Chris Zahas delivered the keynote address at the Washington REALTORS® EdCon 2012 conference on October 17, 2012. The presentation

highlights major demographic and economic shifts taking place today and how they are affecting the future of urban development and housing. From microhousing, accessory dwelling units, cottage housing, to Village to Village senior services networks, the shape of cities is changing to respond to the needs and preferences of Baby Boomers and Generation Y. Representing over 150 million people in the U.S., these two demographic groups increasingly are choosing to live in urban locations with a strong sense of place, community, and connectedness.
