Mountlake Terrace Adopts Economic Development Strategic Plan

LCG recently worked with the City of Mountlake Terrace to develop a five-year strategic plan to support the future economic development of Mountlake Terrace. Developed concurrently with its Comprehensive Plan Update, LCG completed a citywide economic and market analysis, engaged with local businesses, developers, brokers, and regional economic development partners, facilitated a workshop with the Mountlake Terrace Chamber of Commerce, and collaborated with City staff, Planning Commission and City Council to understand and recommend specific actions the City may take to capitalize on the recently opened Mountlake Terrace Sound Link light rail station and spur the development of a new retail and activity center in its core.

Collaboration with an engaged business community led to a letter of commitment and support for the plan from the Chamber of Commerce, and the plan was unanimously adopted by the City Council in September 2024.
