Kristina Benson, Urban Development Analyst
Kristina believes that creating engaging urban spaces starts with identifying a community’s cultural assets, values and strengths. She works to increase resiliency in communities and cites, so residents and agencies have the functioning capacity to withstand social, economic, and environmental stresses.
Drawing on her expertise in community master planning and economic/demographic analysis, she presents critical market intelligence data to shareholders through comprehensive reports. Her key interests are in transit-oriented development, smart growth strategies, social infrastructure, housing affordability, low impact development, and eco-districts.
She joined Leland Consulting Group to merge her strengths and add value to public spaces via placemaking. She has her Master's in Real Estate Development from Portland State University and has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
